L: Pours a pale gold with a full haze. A high slow pour over several minutes yields three fingers of a fine white pillowy head. Amazing retention on this one as the head never falls below half a finger. As the beer recedes in the glass it leaves massive rings and webs of beautiful lacing on the glass. This head is the sticky icky.
S: Over ripe oranges, waves of ripe mango, a bit of citrus pith, and just a slight touch of piney dankness. This is not candy land but rather over ripe/ripe tropical fruit dominant.
T: I get oranges and citrus pith on the front end. In the middle I get a bit of doughy malt and waves of over ripe mango creamsicle flowing into the backend where it meets some grapefruit rind and delicate notes of piney dankness. The finish has a nice agreeable bitterness. This is not a sweet lactose juicebomb. It is a NEIPA the way I like it. A touch of the dank, fruity, pithy, creamsicle, and a touch of bitterness.
F: A medium bodied beer with low carbonation. The mouthfeel is creamy smooth with the finish having just the slightest hint of dryness. Pretty amazing.
O: Counterweight's NEIPA's are firing on all cylinders this season. I love what they are doing with the fresh crop of hops. What we have here is some highly recommended haze! The only thing that could make this better is upping the piney dankness just a tad (brew some Wizard Fight already!), but who am I to criticize?

Tried this at Eli Cannon's in Middletown, CT. Not a very thick head, but for what there was nice looking lacing. Fruity aroma with notes of apricot and plum. Flavor was citrus and resiny with some chocolate and nutmeg notes. Very nice dipa.

On tap at 2 Bros. Pours a hazy pale brownish orange with 2 inches of head. Good amount of lacing. The aroma is mostly tropical and citrus fruits. Tangerine, nectarine, grapefruit and melon. The taste is a blend of fruit and pine. Melon, tangerine, mango and nectarine. Pine towards the finish with more melon. Maybe some floral hop notes. Not nearly as much alcohol burn as I expected. Medium body with low carbonation. Slightly dry mouthfeel. Very good Imperial IPA.
