We've been incredibly fortunate this year to travel to Bamberg a couple of times to learn and explore more about a region that's home to some of the most beautiful beers we've ever had the pleasure of drinking. Smoked Ein Helles shares its regional inspiration with our Frank and Drudenhaus and we are happy to add Smoked Ein Helles to our ever growing rotating lager lineup.

Counterweight's dead-ringer for Aecht Schlenkerla Helles Lagerbier. Do they get that smokey character by re-pitching the yeast from bactches of Drudenhaus? Are they just using smaller quantities of smoked malt? Who knows????? EIther way, this is a darn good hell.
