Overtravel focuses on a new hop variety - HBC 692. It originates from the Hop Breeding Company and is in its infancy. We were fortunate to get to try some great beers at hop harvest this past year using this hop and knew we wanted to brew with it. Unique pink grapefruit, rosewood, and orange rind like flavors and aromas are some if its characteristics.

Can from tfontana, thanks again.
Hazy lemony yellow with a huge frothy white head that slowly recedes. Citrus lemon and tropical fruits with some bready sweetness and a bit of sweet sugar.

Sampling a cold 16 oz can. the beer was picked up at the brewery and has been in my fridge since then.
Pouring into my snifter the beer is a cloudy goldenrod to orange juice color. It has a flat hue and light is passing through on the edges of my glass, but no where else.
A large fluffy bleached white head of 2.5 cm foams up on the pour and sticks together, even while slightly topping the edge of my glass. This foam leaves scattered windowpane lattice as it fades to a rocky surface layer.
Aroma is lots of hops with orange and grapefruit dominant but also some green grape and a bit of peach too. QUite interesting fruit filled nose. No hint of ABV and only the faintest hint of biscuity malt.
First sip reveals a medium to light body with fine and very tingly carbonation. This carbonation bubbles up when I swish the beer in my mouth, giving it a more full feel.
The flavor here is similar to the nose and is hop dominated with peach, orange and some mango notes. Again I get a little green grape, but this is very citrusy and flavorful. Quite a bold flavor on this one.
ABV is hidden and not really any malt character on the flavor.
QUite nice IPA, very fruit forward
