A German inspired pale lager with a slightly higher abv and a malt character that is a bit more robust than a pilsner but not quite as pronounced as you might find in a pale bock bier. In our CW Dortmunder we reach for balance and find harmony between the accentuated maltiness we achieve from using a blend of beautiful German produced malts and the welcoming fresh cut grass like noble hop character that compliments each sip.

Im sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. Picked up at the brewery last weekend. date stamped 2/28/2024, so pretty fresh indeed!
The beer pours a bright clear golden hue, with many streams of active carbonation rising towards the surface. A creamy bleached white head foams up about 2 cm, and fades to a sturdy surface covering that remains through sampling. There is some clingy lattice on each swirl of the glass.
Aroma is very cereal grainy and some herbal tea and spicy hop note, but overall the nose is very mild.
First sip reveals a light to medium body with very smooth texture. Carbonation is fine and fairly gentle on my palate. This beer drinks easy!
Flavor is more robust than the nose with some cereal grain and a bit of rye bread note. General light sweetness on this beer and only a little spicy hop on the finish. Finish also dries out a little, which only encourages me to drink faster.
Very easy drinking beer that I am enjoying on this Friday evening. I might go back and buy another 4 pack.
