S: not especially aromatic; what's there is light malt sweetness;
T: follows the nose with a little lemony citrus; very mild bitterness at the end;
M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

Poured from a pint can into a pint can. Beautiful frothy white head with good lacing tops an effervescent body, colored a deep golden yellow. The malt aroma is prevalent on the nose. First sip has the right balance of hops and malt, smooth with a hop bite at the end. All the effervescence tingles the tongue and provides a clean finish. Counterweight makes the cut with this Lager!

Poured from a 16-oz can stamped “CANNED ON 02/29/24. Poured to a Pils glass at fridge temp. The label simply says lager, but the website says Helles Lager. ABV is 4.4%.
A nice clear light gold body allows you to see continuous nucleation. An aggressive white head sits on top. Lacing is aggressive also, but not fully coating.
The nose brings a slightly spicy, slightly peppery sensation.
The taste is sweet in the front with an ultra dry finish. There is a subtle soapiness, but it is not off putting.
The body is light and the mouthfeel mildly oily. Carbonation cleans the pallet efficiently.
A nice clean lager with plenty of flavor.

L: Pours a straw to pale gold color with excellent clarity. The pour yields three fingers of fine, white head with excellent retention. As the beer goes down it leaves a ringed and webbed lacing on the glass.
S: Cereal grain, bready malt character. light notes of fresh cut hay, and a bit of noble spice.
T: Prominent grainy pale malt character, fresh cut alfalfa mixing with earthy notes, and a touch of yeasty sourdough and noble spice on the finish. No residual sweetness and a medium-light bitterness on the finish.
F: Medium body with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth, and well rounded, with a light dryness on the backend and finish.
O: This is a solid addition to Counterweight's core lineup. I really would like to do a side by side comparison between this and Ein Helles. Can we expect a smoked version of Cutline? I hope so. So this is a great rendition of a Munich Hell with continental malt character to a tee, and being under a month old, considerable noble hop character as well. Highly recommended!
