A: opaque; very dark brown in color; a 2 finger finely pored light brown head that receded to a skim cap with a moderate tight collar; little lacing;
S: dark fruit and roasted grain;
T: balanced between dark fruit and roasted grain; a bit of licorice toward the end; mild bitterness at the end that increased to moderate in the aftertaste;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: nicely done;

If you love bourbon, this is one of the first barrel aged baltic porters that really lets the bourbon shine. The barrel aging is not kept in the back and takes the lead. For the first barrel aged beer I have had by Counter Weight they nailed it. Well done as always.
