330 mL brown bottle, pull-tap cap.
This beer poured a very slightly yellow, fizzy, yellow color with white foam that settled rapidly. The smell was very lightly malty (a very modest aroma). The taste was moderately hoppy followed by sweetish maltiness. There was a very light hoppiness. (Can't say I tasted any scallops in this beer.) The mouthfeel was thin and smooth with light body and moderate carbonation. Very very light malt all together. This beer was easy to drink, but mostly because it was extremely light in flavor and body. Thanks to Naerhu for this bottle.

Hotate = Scallops
Shimmering clear bronze color, with a somewhat short-lived thin bubble head. Smell is a bit weak, like watered down malts and dishwater. However, there are also whiffs of seawater, or seaweed, perhaps derived from the scallops used in the making.
Thinnish taste, malts, with a strange, almost toasted, almost roasted meat taste. Sweet but light taste. Watery. Wouldn't need to have this again probably. But interesting...?
This beer uses deep water from the Ohkotsk Sea.
