With its low hop bitterness, saltiness, and citrus flavors, the Bikini Atoll is often a favorite amongst our friends that think they don’t like beer. In contrast, the beer snobs out there love it as well. It is light and effervescent with high carbonation.
Summers at the pool inspired this beer. There is nothing more refreshing in the Texas heat than a crisp and tart Gose.

Pink lemonade variety. Very Dry, effervescent with hibiscus and guava undertones. Tightly executed. Refreshing but not especially compelling. Gimme some double Half Life.

Admittedly, I’m not well-versed in the style. That being said, the mouthfeel is indistinguishable from slightly-flat sparkling water. Taste is uncomplicated, like a flavored seltzer. The sourness and raspberry flavor are well-represented, if not pleasant or complex. But please do consider more-informed opinions than mine before making a purchasing decision.

Very pale gold with a sizeable, frothy head. Nose is tart and quite fruity, a delicious scent. Taste: wow, that's a lot of lime flavor, more than in most of the other lime goses I've had. That and the sourness kinda excludes everything else. It's true to the name but I don't find it that good of a gose, or a beer. I tastes almost like lime juice drunk straight!
It does smell very nice, though.

Pours a very clear golden yellow color with a small carbonated head Head retention is very mild. Lacing is decent. Very tart and salty lemon lime aroma. Taste is the same but with a strong tartness. Light bodied with heavy carbonation.

I've taken a while to find a great beer for hanging out by the pool. After much searching I've found my favorite. In this Texas heat I've found that this gose meets the bill. It's just right on the citrus and salt. The carbonation is just right. I'm writing this after a six pack as someone that never drinks more than half that much in a sitting.

A very tasty and refreshing gose that excels in its tartness. Super easy drinking and good one on a hot summer day. Give this gose a try. On draft at Ron’s Corner Tavern.
