In designing Succession Plan, we followed the lineage of the West Coast IPA: defined hop character, clear profile, deliberate restraint. A dui of Simcoe and Mosaic hops brings sharp citrus and pine, while the malt stays clean and minimal to keep the finish crisp. The result is straightforward and purposeful. A beer that honors the style’s history while charting its own course.

When I see west coast ipa on a can of beer I guess I expect a bit more punch. Balanced and highly drinkable, but a bit underwhelming unless you are looking for hops in the missionary position. This is a watered down ipa. Well executed I suppose but lacking soul.

03/20/26 can:
Hop profile is better than I remembered but far from standout in this oversaturated beer style. Some orange pulp, citrus, floral flavour. No signature subtle blueberry from Mosaic or oniony flavour from Simcoe. I wouldn't say this showcases the best either hop varietal has to offer.
Mosaic heads are better off buying Lone Pint's Yellow Rose, which I reckon is sold just about everywhere this is.

12oz canned 5-4-21, opened 6-27-21.
1 finger slightly off white head. Falls a little and then holds tight.
Deep bronze/golden with good clarity. Full rings of lace.
The nose runs the gamut from berry, stone fruit, tropical, and even some pine.
Berry and pine, mild peach, and a light caramel sweetness.
Light/bright body, medium carbonation. Prickly hop bitterness and a light sweetness in the finish.
Very Good.
Canned 2-16-26, opened 3-28-26
