Picked up a bottle at central market of all places. Batch #3, Bottle #55, Date 8/30/2024
Pours a deep dark amber/ruby. Little creamy head with excellent lacing.
Nose is charred sugar, definitely some oak, and dark stone fruit like a dried plum.
I pick up some of the complexity of the rye, has an earthiness/ spice to it. Sweetness of the dark fruit, plenty of barrel character, the hint of caramel and vanilla.
Surprisingly dry. Not oily or sugary sweet at all. Flavor lingers nicely on the tongue with a slight burn.
