Our 1913 Pilsner is a Czech style pilsner that has a light, crisp body and finishes with herbal and spicy notes with a refreshing hint of bitterness from the traditional Saaz hops used in this style.

The Great Flood of 1913 dropped more than 9.5 inches of rain in little more than a day. In order to ease the enormous swells of water that brought carnage to the streets of Akron, many of the canal lock gates were blown open with dynamite, effectively destroying the canal system and changing the course of Akron history.

Chill hazed but otherwise clear pale yellow with a lumpy but short white foam head.

A softly filling fizz delivers toasted corn and grassy herbality before a fairly dry finish.

For an otherwise underwhelming brewery, this is actually pretty solid, if only accented by a slight bit of allium in the exhale.

Pours clear and light straw cocoa, minimal head, nice biscuit aroma. Good, clean taste, light citrus flavor, slightly sweet. Crisp carbonation. OverLl a very tasty Pilsner.
