Poured out of a 12 oz. can into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a dark brown color with a huge off-white/tan head that’s well over inch thick when first poured. Head eventually settles to a very thick film layer of surface coating with a thick ring lining the inside of the glass at the beer’s surface and excellent lacing. Aromas of some toasted, bready malts along w/ some caramel and pecan notes along with a slight earthy, slightly floral hop presence. A very similar flavor profile, with the aforementioned toasted, bready malts along with some caramel sweetness and pecan nutty notes that’s rounded out with the perfect amount of earthy and just slightly resinous hop bitterness. A very good balance of flavors here. Has a crisp come also smooth light to medium bodied mouth feel with moderate carbonation. The body does seem on the slightly lighter side overall for a porter, and I feel it works very well here for this beer. Has a clean finish, and all of the flavors linger nicely on my palate after each sip. An enjoyable beer here all around.

I think the butter pecan adds something excellent to the porter. The look and feel are basic porter but the smell and taste at a little bit of a flavor which melds surprisingly well.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is as advertised, butter pecans. Taste is butter pecans, roasted malts, some vanilla is present. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a unique beer worth trying.

L: Dark and thick.
S: Lots of additives/adjunct ingredients.
T: Actually pretty tasty. I was expecting sweet and syrupy, but it's bitter and syrupy.
F: The syrupy aspect still has the drawback of sticking to your palate and building up on itself.
O: It is a pecan butter flavored beer. Hints of vanilla and maple. A 6pack will last you a couple of nights.

12 ounce can, no dating on it but stamped with "Wash Your Hands" on the bottom so it was canned sometime during the COVID era so I'm guessing over the past few months. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice enough. It does smell mostly like butter pecan, along with some dark bread and vanilla. Taste is similar to the aroma but a little bit weaker, with butter pecan, vanilla, dark bread, caramel, roasted malt and earthy flavors. Was expecting this to be sweeter tasting, but that's not a complaint here. Nice balance with the sweet and roasty earthy flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy drinking with a good amount of carbonation. Overall I liked this, worth picking up a can if you come across some!

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a khaki head that falls leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have lots of roasted characteristics along with some vanilla. Malts are obviously there. The flavors basically follow the nose. More vanilla along with some cocoa. Roasted malts are there giving it a solid malt backbone. Decent bitterness. It doesn't really come off as sweet. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is light with moderate to active carbonation. It's slightly fluffy, sharp, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid porter. The "butter pecan" characteristics come through without dominating. It doesn't come off as artificial. Not bad at all. I like it.

This was sold to me as "new" but it actually was a three month old can. Unlike the terrible Double Wing blonde ale Saveon also sold me (also three months old), this one is comparatively drinkable. The blonde reminded you that it was over the hill and funky with every sip. This is OK.
It pours black with nice fizz. The aroma is subdued - a shame since it was flavoring with nuts and stuff. The taste is pretty mild too. A mild nuttiness accompanies a watery porter, with just a hint of roastyness. A disappointing product.
Not recommended. Nothing from this brewer has been exceptional. I'm not sure that they haven't even digressed from their original incarnation as Cellar Rats.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours crystal clear very dark brown color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty butter pecans, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, biscuit, and toasted brown bread; with lighter notes of coffee, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, pecans, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty butter pecans, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, biscuit, and toasted brown bread; with lighter notes of coffee, smoke, char, dark fruit, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty butter pecans, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, biscuit, toasted brown bread, light coffee/smoke/char, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, pecans, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is good. A bit thin, but not watery. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a delicious flavored American porter. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, vanilla, pecans, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Great balance of classic American porter malt complexity, and butter pecan/vanilla flavors. Not overly roasty or bitter. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
