This is an IPA brewed with a Norwegian yeast strain. This along with our hop selection of Simcoe and Mosaic has created some crazy, crisp Tangerine flavors with an attractive dry orange peel bitterness. We are calling this beer "Voss IPA” after the region in Norway that this farmhouse yeast hails from.

A great PNW version of a NEIPA. Dank, fruity, tropical, cloudy, all in one can! Not overpowering in the fruit juice department thankfully,. A bit more balanced than most on this coast trying to be NE style. Really though a great IPA on it's own and great try at NEIPA on the West Coast. Strong recommend from the can.

can into glass
Medium, off white head with medium bubbles. Light orange with a quite cloudy golden look. Tangerine bubble gum aroma. Orange peel and teensy malt flavor, with a sharp lingering finish. Basically a hazy IPA.

16oz single can purchased at Central Market in Mill Creek, Washington.
Canned on 06/27/19. Poured in to a pint glass.

Look- Very hazy orange juice color. Nice dense off-white head that leaves a decent amount of lacing. Light carbonation rising as it sits.

Smell- Pineapple, citrus (tangerine, grapefruit, lemon), mango and passionfruit, dank and light pine.

Taste- Much of the same, really tangy and tart, like candy. Maybe a little bit of vanilla even, kind of like an Orange Julius.

Feel- Medium bodied, slightly creamy and smooth, very light bitterness.

O- Excellent west coast take on a NEIPA.

L: Hazy yellow hue with two finger frothy head with very good retention and lacing.

S: Pineapple with a touch of orange rind, mango, and grapefruit and grass.

T: similar to the nose - soft pineapple with mango and crisp tangerine.

F: Light-medium body with good carbonation.

O: Trendy use of Kveik yeast provided a crispness more than farmhouse feel. Very drinkable and repeatable!

My first take-home beer from Matchless, a 16oz can purchase at Community Pint in Spokane. No date on the can.

Poured into a Jones Radiator shaker pint glass, this was a hazy shade of apricot, with a big, creamy, eggshell white head. Lots and lots of lace rings.

Tangerine, grapefruit, and a hint of pineapple-like hop scents greeted the nose.

Taste follows nose. This is a fruit forward hazy IPA that has a fairly gentle citrus character, unlike some that taste like a glass of oj or grapefruit juice with an ounce or so of beer added. Mild bitterness at the swallow, which was lightly dry.

Medium bodied, with a lightly resinous mouthfeel.

A hazy IPA that's fairly easygoing. I could have several of these, I'm thinking. Next time I'm in Oly, a side trip to Tumwater will be in order, I'm thinking.

Can dated 080917 into IPA glass.

L: Hazy yellow bronze with 2 fingers of pillowy white head with great retention and left mixed lacing.

S: Grapefruit, passionfruit, some earthy undertones.

T: Follows nose well, perhaps more citrus dominance. Mild bitterness and plenty of astringency that lingers awhile.

F: Lighter bodied and higher carbonation, lively on the tongue from the carbonation.

O: Nice beer, would be tremendous for my palate and preferences if the edges were softened a bit.

Very hazy NW take on a New England style IPA. Generous creamy head that lasts awhile and leaves abundant patchy lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit and citrus. Taste is tangerine and some mild citrus peel bitterness. Medium body and smooth. Very good IPA.

Poured from a 16oz can into an IPA glass.
This beer was given to me as a gift and it was very solid. Can't wait to try some other beers from this brewery.
