When our friends at Mammoth tossed out the idea of working on an anniversary beer we know we had to put together a beer with some of the most robust, flavorful ingredients we could find. A base of Vienna and flaked rye bring a big beer mouth feel, balanced by an addition of flaked corn to keep drinkability high. Mosaic and Citra late in the boil, followed up with a double dry hop of more Mosaic and Citra along with minimal bittering give the impression of a beer made solely of pure fruit juice.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy medium orange-yellow, opaque in the glass with a fine, one finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Looks good. Aroma of citrus, dank and mildly tropical fruit hops, orange, pineapple, mango and lemon. Flavor is more complex, with citrus and dank hops, orange, lemon, vague light stone fruit, mixed tropical fruit, pine and dankness in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; silky mouth feel. I try not to buy hazy IPAs because they are not my style. This one was labled well as one, but had to buy it because I loved the name and got it for my sister who is into elephants. Unfortunately, due to current circumstance, I won't see her for a while, so I'm going to drink this one for her (she'll get the can). Due to this, I'm a bit tardy drinking this one, but the hops are still quite vivid and fresh tasting, fine dry hopping here. It has the character that discourage me from getting more hazies: low bitterness in the finish. However, I'm liking the hop bill and I'm a sucker for Citra, so this one is enjoyable for me. The fruit flavors, particularly the stone fruit notes are quite enjoyable. Light, but distinct bitterness up front that fades into the finish, but there is still lots of herbal hop flavor lingering. Unlike many hazies, this one kept my interest throughout the can, so I'm glad I tried it. Great name, graphics, looks and feel. A worthy hazy IPA.

Soft pale orange-ish yellow with a fuzzy off white head that settles into a short buzz cut with a couple of soapy bubbles meandering here and there.
Nose is a blushing blossom of bruised tropical fruits. Papaya and banana and some peach primarily.
Flavour is a nice melange of sweet soft fruit again, but with a good balance of gentle but well balanced oily bitterness that reminds us that there is an actual IPA in there. The finish is sticky and juicy. Body is sticky and soft and the carbonation is lightly effervescent and helps bridge between the softness the sweetness and the bitter without any of them feeling harsh or overstressed.
I'm not generally that into NEIPAs, but this is one of the better ones I've ever had (including samplings from across the country).

Pint can poured in to a nonic glass. Canned on is 3/09/20.
Look- hazy, golden straw colored, solid fluffy off-white head with great retention, nice sticky lacing. Light carbonation streaming as it sits.
Smell- Bright candied citrus (primarily orange/tangerine and lemon), pineapple and other tropical fruit, ripe peach/nectarine, light berries, faint pine and some herbal hops.
Taste- Follows the nose well, candy sweetness and the peach and berries are more prominent than in the smell. Almost no pine to speak of.
Feel- Medium bodied, creamy soft and smooth, a hint of residual bitterness. Light carbonation on the tongue.
O- Matchless has a winner. They should do this one year round, I'd gladly buy more of it.

Poured into a Pint Defiance tulip. The body is a hazy orange hue, with a two finger white head. Aromas consist of peach, lychee, orange, and coconut. Flavors are the same. The feel is medium bodied with medium carbonation, and is very smooth.
