Pours a hazed copper color with a finger-and-a-half of dense, off-white head. The head leaves lovely, thick lacing
Creamy, doughy aroma that’s soft around the edges and has a hint of lemon and some strong cake-like sweetness.
The taste follows the nose with a more intense malty sweetness. It approaches, but falls a little short of, a medicinal cherry flavor. There’s a kiss of hop bitterness, but it doesn’t really hold up against the malt.
On the heavy side of medium bodied with decent carbonation cutting through.
Really tasty, and this much sweet malt is a great change of pace.

16oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a fully cloudy medium gold color with 1/4 inch of off-white head that had moderate retention and very light lacing.
The aroma was mostly sweet malts, a definite honeyish note, and very light hops. Same on the tongue, lots of malt, a high sweetness level, notes of honey, and very gentle hopping.
The body was medium-full, smooth, and had a sweet finish. Drinkability was fine for me, but someone who has lesser sweet tooth than I do might struggle with it. Overall, a solid, enjoyable example of the style.

Golden amber brew with plenty of white foam in the Copper Kettle goblet. Thickish on the tongue with a reluctant cabonation. Man, is this stuff sweet. It's just a pure malty sweet taste. There is just a touch of hops, Northern Brewer and Sterling, but not much bitterness. This is kind of simple but it's actually very sippable once you adjust to the style. From the 16 oz can purchased at Central Market in Shoreline.
