Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a big, five finger white head that slowly dissipates to a thick cap with nice lacing. Aroma of pale malt with a hint of caramel, dank and tropical fruit hops, pineapple and mixed stone fruit and a hint of citrus. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and mixed fruit hops, mixed tropical fruit punch, mild lemon and grapefruit citrus and a little dankness. Solid citrus rind bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solid, but somewhat one note IPA with some moderate fresh hop herbal character, but a bit subdued. This year's version is El Dorado and its mixed fruit character is on display here. The overall profile reminded me of some hazy IPAs fruit character, but this is neither hazy in looks nor absent in hop bitterness, in fact the finishing bitterness is quite nice. A late season freshish hop IPA and welcome as that, but a somewhat tame hop flavor profile.

I have had this can in cold storage for a year, but it's not bad. This version says "2019" below the slogan near the bottom of the label, and the ABV is down to 7.00 percent. Hops are Centennial and Cascade.

There is a little haze, but no murk, and the foam in the tulip is like whipped cream. Still aromatic with warm straw and a resiny note. Taste is grainy and malty with the leafy hop taste, though it is lacking the pazaaz of actual fresh hops. I will see if this is still around, I find that everything from Matchless is worth trying and even an IPA is still drinkable long long after the likely expriation date.

16oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solidly murky dark orange color with about a half-inch of white head that had decent retention and lacing. The aroma, aroma, flavor, body and drinkability are all typical for the style.

If I am deciphering the notes on the label correctly: "Paying homage to the original "fresh hop" beer the only way we know how!", it seems that this would be their take on Sierra Nevada's Celebration. A perennial favorite of mine. This beer is no celebration. In fact, guess what the next beer out of the cooler is gonna be?
