crazy how many beer these guys make, seems endless, i love it! this one is honey colored, with some real toasty enriching malt support but all the big citrusy hop character expected from a northwestern ipa, well made, reasonably fresh in my experience, and balanced in a slightly old school way, while still leaning high alpha and pretty bold on the hop side, perhaps less original in terms of hop profile than their most memorable hoppy beers, but the drinkability and refinement overall are both quite high, and i enjoyed this well in a warm weather context. some definite european vibes to the malt in aroma and flavor, faintly nutty, definitely bready, and ever so slightly sweet, which sets up resinous and honey character in the hops rather well, and evens out some of the hop intensity, which comes in with familiar grapefruit, pine, and earthy spice layers, pithy, on the palate awhile, a bit dank, not overly intense, even some sort of pale ale energy going on with the bready core, sturdy though, and bitter. some grassiness as it warms, lightly oily, good carbonation from the tap. i dont totally get the golf branding of this one, like its not some light golf course ripper like it seems to kind of present itself as being, but its another solid ipa in the matchless lineup. been really digging their availability in idaho of late!

Oof. While there is some hop character and a moderate fruitiness, the overwhelming characteristic here is stale vomit, dank and unappealing. Citrus, guava, tropical fruit and vomit. Baby diapers and vomit. Ugh.

This one is from back when an IPA didn't have to be black, hazy, sparkly, or juicy. Thank you Matchless for another brave, clean, and reverent hoppy brew that doesn't participate in identity politics.
This has plenty of malt, sort of a popcorn taste. Hops are listed as Cascade, CTZ, Chinook, and Centennial. Aroma is tangerine and grain. Taste is mango-tinged, some citrus, and the even papaya. Overall it's the inviting fruity flavors, not overdone, on a base of light malt with just enough sweetness. And a dose of bitterness at the end that puts an "amen" on the proceedings.
The label, like all these recent Matchless designs, is an appealing color with simple and bold colors. But someone can explain the golf ball to me. From the 16 oz can purchased at Central Market in Shoreline, Wash.
