Clear golden amber brew with plenty of foam in the tall goblet. This is supposed to be a single hop brew made with Southern Promise, a South African variety. It's tangy and slightly bitter. Really a nice variation on the Pilsner theme.
The PIlsner malt is warm with a touch of sweetness. Pleasant cereal flavor. HInts of pencil shavings in the aftertaste, but it adds to the interest. There are flavors of grape, a hint of pineapple, and a touch of green pepper. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.
