new one to me from these guys, so stoked to see their beer popping up in boise, i have long been a fan and im going to drink all of these that i encounter. this one is a pretty basic german pils, seemingly without frills or anything unique about it, but like all their beer the execution is solid and this ends up a nice drinkable accompaniment to some raw fish. looks just a little hazy and less heady than i want it to, but it doesnt feel dense or under carbonated when i drink it. a tad more color than a lot of these have too, but the grain profile remains fairly light. good freshness to this, some minerals even protein to it, herbal and bitter hops but somewhat restrained, starting early but never ramping up to intense or anything. good water chemistry, nice patient lagering and this is dry at the end without being as snappy or crisp overall as the best beers in this style space, but i like the hoppy linger and wouldnt change much here. lighter than medium bodied but still just slightly bigger than it needs to be, and it does give up just a little drinkability there. it did well with umami and salt and fresh flavors, but overall is not one of the more remarkable matchless beers going...
