This tastes like a cross between a Cold IPA with Lager yeast and a typical Orange Julius NEIPA brew. Matchless calls it a "Hazy West Coast IPA." I say the accent is on hazy.
Pours a hazy amber with plenty of foam in the Duvel glass. Serious orange aroma and flavor, with maybe a dose of sweet canned peaches. Sugary and sudsy with some astringency in the finish. I have enjoyed a few of the hazier offerings from Matchless, but not this murky mess. From the 16 oz can purchased at Metropolitan Market in Mercer Island. Dated 7/17/2023.

This is the caramalt-heavy form of an old-school ipa...hops are nice (simcoe and Centennial shine, in particular), bitterness is moderate and pleasant, but overall...it’s solid and nothing more. Pours a clear amber with minimal head. Nose and taste are bready, a little dull citrus, some dewy melon, some resin that is more sappy than bitter. A little heavy on the mouthful, and a little wet. Bought a 4-pack of tall boys at the brewery...not unhappy about that, but next time I’ll go in a different direction.
