a sturdy and well made ipa available only on draft, tasty no doubt, but not one of their more memorable beer, less distinctive than their very best, but the quality is there, no surprise, these guys are always on point. this has a little color to it but a light grain aroma and flavor, nothing toasted or sweet, more pale malty, lightly crackery even, very fresh. its a fine base for what seems like primarily northwestern hops, sappy pine in the nose, a little bitter citrus in the flavor, lots of balance, almost drinks like a strong pale, not overwhelmingly unique, but very good overall. some grapefruit character, dried herbs, leafy greenness in a good way, and spruce from the hops, a little linger at the and and good bitterness. its clean to me too, nothing from the yeast in the flavor at all, and real dry, nice for being a little bigger. well carbonated, real fresh, and just sort of a basic but flavorful ipa here, nothing extreme or adventurous, but a beer for drinking and a good one. these guys have rapidly become one of my regional favorites, they do so many things so well! always a pleasure to drink on their stuff.
