very unique beer, especially cool to find it on tap. its a foudre aged sour pale base, but aged on strawberries and gin botanicals, super interesting stuff, pungently flavored, fully wild to me, and majorly delicious, even if its too acidic to drink a ton of, its one of a kind in my experience, and that counts for a lot. pale orange in the glass with a little head on it and some cloudiness, a muted luster and a big spritz of carbonation. the strawberries are natural but juicy and jammy and ripe and sweet in the nose, while the gin elements are right there with it, juniper berry obviously, spruce, and lemon and lime, wow, very cocktail-esque, woody, and piquant, my mouth waters profusely. the flavor is layered and interesting, and as bold and honest as the strawberry and botanical aspects are, its the subtleties here that make this for me, like its a really neat pale base, some brett to it and some woody maturity, but also some malt, which holds up the big added flavors and balances some of the pucker, this would be good on its own, and with the herbal freshness and bitterness elements it almost has a wild ipa vibe, plus of course the strawberries, which are present from start to finish in darn near their purest form. wonderful carbonation, brightness, and flavor mix here, world class even, these guys keep on blowing me away. this is creative but not a gimmick, sour but also wild, fruited but still beery, it just rules!
