This is our modern take on a classic West Coast IPA. Only double! Fresh pine and fresh squeezed citrus notes showcase our Imperial interpretation of the glory days of IPA. The refreshing malt bill of Pilsner & Munich malts adds just a touch of sweetness to balance that old school bitterness from Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo & Zeus hops. A real double IPA that keeps you wanting to drink on!

Pours a clear yellow-amber with plenty of foam in the Timmermans goblet. Big fruity aroma with orange nose. So much mango and peach in the flavor, rather than pine, but there's a resiny finish. More citrus as you sip. Moderately sweet and quite a robust mouthfeel. rich and mellow with hops that are more aromatic than bitter. Distintly tangy. Moderate bitterness adds to the pleasure. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Canned 10/18/2021, so it's a year old but quite delightful.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, pine and citrus hops, orange, tangerine, grapefruit and pine. Flavor is lightly caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, orange, lemon, grapefruit, mild mixed light stone fruit with some dankness developing into the finish which is quite piney with lighter citrus rind and dankness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A great old fashioned tasting West Coast IPA with lots of citrus and pine notes, but mixing it up with some dank character and mild mixed fruit. Apparently continental malts were used, but they taste like a local West Coast profile. Piney IPAs are so great at this time of year and this is a worthy one.
