This is described as an "India Red Ale," and it is really quite bizarre. It starts with the appearance: the color is a really, really dark red like Port wine but browner. The foam is beige, and plenty of it in the Stella Artois goblet. Flavors of an English Winter Warmer but hopped up like an IPA. Nuts and walnut skins plus dark roasted malt. A touch of sweetness with a dry finish and a hoppy aftertaste with just enough bitterness.
Overall this is on the mellow side, but enlivened by the unusual flavors. Lush and mouth-filling carbonation with a mildly acidic edge. Worth trying for the mild adventure. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Canned 12/13/2021.

16oz can (dated 12/13/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very dark, barely translucent, reddish-brown color with 2/3 inch of tan head that had moderate retention and low-moderate lacing.
Light roast and some citrusy hops had the front of the nose, with light malt in the background. Very similar on the tongue, with the roast lingering at the back of the palate.
The body was light, smooth, and had a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was fine, but I wasn't left craving another. Overall, a pretty solid brew, worth a shot if you see it.
