Just slightly hazy orange-tinted amber brew with abundant and long-lasting foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Citrus and pencil shavings in the nose. Orange juice and grapefruit rind with a sharp edge and throat-clearing acidity. Some sweet melon and candied lemon peel add to the fruit. Moderate bitterness.

Besides the Topaz hops this is brewed with flaked oats, which seems to be the Matchless choice for modest haze. Quite drinkable, though I have to wonder how much better this would be without the harsh aftertaste and hazed up muddling. From the 16 oz can purchased at Town & Country market. Dated 11/29/2021.
