Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned on 3/27/23; this is an "Italian-style pilsner" according to the label.
Appearance: rich golden hue with only the lightest hint of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam. Oro indeed!
Smell: sweetish malt and a rather yeasty aroma. Classic for a European lager, and I like it, but it's pretty light and I'd love a little more volume here.
Taste: malt is on the sweetish side, but nice. There's a nice hint of slight caramel character as well, which adds a nice complexity. Bitterness is balanced but definitely present. It's a solid, if perhaps a little sweet, pils.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess for the style.
Overall: a refreshing and tasty treat. Perhaps a little sweet to be mega-crushable, but still super refreshing on this warm spring day.
