not sure this is wild, but i also think its more than just a kettle sour, a blend of different sours as a base and then spiked with a mess of blackberries from this specific farm, cool idea to call out the farm, but i think the beer is a little too acidic to drink more than a small pour of, and it sits a little sharp in my gut and on my teeth. pale pink color to this, a bit less carbonation and head from the tap than hoped for, but with a lovely bright nose of real berries, more sour than jammy with the bacterial tang also in play, but some sweetness from them too, an almost baked element with the subtle grain still evident, a little funk too, but this is acid first. the flavor is cool but again, its too sour for me, reminds me of some of the older cascade stuff where the fruit profiles are great but the sourness really is a limiting factor. here i get notes of red wine, raspberry vinegar, and lactic lemony tartness. the blackberries are fresh and ripe and easily identifiable, and there is still some sweetness in this, but its not enough to balance the beer out overall, and it ends up sharp, even harsh going down. juicy berry, subtle tart cherry, and acetic acid. good, but neither as mature or as nuanced as i expected from these guys, and while i know they cant all be foeder beers, some woodiness and some blending out of this one to reduce the overall acidity would help it. fun to try, i love these guys, but this is far from my favorite of their fruited sours...
