Poured from 16oz can into my Belvárosi sörfesztivál tulip. Canned 5/12/25.
Appearance: darkish yellow hue with plenty of haze and a thick head of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: moderately sweet with a rather more earthy/herbal aroma than a lot of hazy IPAs. Different, but I'm actually kinda into it.
Taste: like the aroma, moderately sweet for the style with a rather herbal flavor and a kind of "raw hop" flavor that I associate more with bittering hops. It's not terrible, but it's not really what I'm looking for in a hazy.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I would maybe have expected something a little bit more bright or tropical with this hop bill. It's certainly not a bad beer, but it's not a great example of what this style can be.

Abundant foam in the Timmermans goblet on the slightly hazed amber brew. This tastes like a hazy IPA, though, with flaked wheat and crystal wheat in the kettle. Hops are listed as Mosaic, Idaho 7, Nelson Sauvin, and Amarillo. Fruity and citrusy aroma. All too acidic too soon with the harsh citrus peel flailing the tongue. Matchless has made some very decent NEIPAs , but this is not one of my favorites. It is barely drinkable, however, and I'll put it back in the fridge in case of trying it later and maybe liking is better. From the 16 oz can dated 8/14/2023.
