Staycation or vacation, Greetings From… is a refreshing tropical delight. Open up your cocktail umbrellas because we loaded this ‘vacation in a can’ with Motueka, Sabro, Vic Secret & Wai-iti hops; all bursting with fruity goodness. Wafts of orange, lime and tropical cocktails float in the breeze with the opening of each can. Flavors of mango, coconut, grapefruit, pear and lime all swirl on the palate like a freshly blended drink. Greetings From…wherever you are!

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 10/28/24.

Appearance: medium golden hue with plenty of haze and a thick head of ivory foam.

Smell: sweet malt with a topical hop character that just doesn’t quite come together. Notes of passionfruit, but there’s kind of a cloying element here I don’t love. There’s also a … mintiness that doesn’t quite work for me.

Taste: sweetness, passionfruit, and mint. A very odd combo, to say the least. Not sure if that was the intent with this beer, but it’s certainly the result. Like, it’s not too bad, but I wouldn’t order another.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: just not my favorite hazy, and a kind of a disappointment with respect to Matchless, whose beers I usually rather like. Kind of a strange brew … not awful, but not for me.

stoked to have these guys selling beer in idaho now, still picking through the cans that have come around, this is not super hazy, its pretty orange, a low glow, a short but densely packed white head. it smells peachy, a little sweet, more grainy than a lot of these are, not insanely fresh to me, but distinct on the hop side, mandarin orange, lemongrass, a little bit of coconut, juicy. the taste is a little less pungent than the aroma, sweet still, a toasted barley thing, less wheaty or oaty than has become fashionable in the hazy types. green grape, pear, green and red apple, stone fruit, papaya, and some herbal character, almost no bitterness but some oily hop linger on the tongue. its fluffy feeling, decently bodied, but the flavors are not super intense, like the hops are maybe fading slightly, but still solid. i may have done this a bit of a disservice by having it later in a lineup of really epic hazy beers, we opened a number of really good cans from the likes of fort george, great notion, fremont, and others, and this one did not rise to the level of the best, but it was pretty stiff competition. enjoyable, but i wanted the special new zealand hops especially to pop a little harder in this...

Thicc hazy pour sits opaque gold in the glass. Hefty off-white cap of head and lacing. Tropical vibe is there, mango, pear...malty as well, balanced with some present sweetness. Drinkable as well, but more soft in its hop presentation than I was expecting.
