Color is pretty near black with a very dark brown foam in the Troubadour tulip. Dark malt aroma. This is rather hoppy with a quite bitter finish. Nothing sweet about it. Malty and creamy on the tongue. Charred grain taste like Black Patent malt, even with a little of that sourish burnt taste. This is highly flavored and I wouldn't say it goes down easy. But it's interesting and rewarding if you like a serously dark beer. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 2/12/2024.
