A blend of foudre and gin barrel-aged blonde sour ale, conditioned on gin botanicals. You’ll find bright notes of lemon zest, juniper berry, stone fruit and funk thanks to the use of juniper berries, lemon peels, coriander and the gin-soaked oak barrels.

Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Canned 11/13/23 … so it’s like 15 months old, but honestly, I think that’s fine for a wood-aged sour.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a dash of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: nicely tart aroma with a mild sweetness to the malt. I like it, although I feel like the gin botanicals are lost in the tartness.
Taste: quite tart with a mild sweetness; the acidity really zips in there at the end! There’s a hint of barrel here, though; it comes through with kind of a vanilla woodiness. Like the aroma, I wouldn’t say, “oh! there are gin botanicals in here!” — but I guess that is kinda how gin botanicals work, subtlely. In any case, I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: quite a nice little sour. I think the tartness is nicely balanced, and while the botanicals don’t necessarily ring out for me, it’s still a satisfying quaff.
