Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 11/11/24: Armistice day!

Appearance: pale golden hue with a light haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.

Smell: moderately sweet malt with a dank, earthy character that might have a bit of grapefruit rind in it as well. Perhaps not typically my favorite profile, but it’s working for me here.

Taste: sweet, earthy, herbal, a bit piney, and a bit dank. Not bad, but I’d say the combo worked better for me in the aroma than in the flavor. Bitterness is rather on the high side.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: a decent-enough seeming beer, but one that is not formulated for my taste.

Clear amber brew with piles of white foam in the goblet. Hugely aromatic with citrus of all sorts, and a whiff of pine and papaya. I don't know if it's the Moutere hops, but that that spicy and tropical fruity taste is quite distinctive. I used to love whole-cone Cascade hope in my home brew but this is another dimension of flavor. The finish is smooth and tangy with a delightful but restrained bitterness to cap it all off. Overall this is so fruity and flavorful, yet elegant in the use of hops. Another excellent hoppy brew from Matchless. From the 16 oz can purchased at Town & Country market. Dated 11/11/2024.
