a hazy thats got a unique hop profile and is a little cleaner and easier than some of their others, but also maybe not quite as compelling as their very best, citra, comet, and chinook, a cool mix of northwestern goodness, a little higher alpha for a hazy one, which i dont mind at all. consistently hazy, not dense enough to look dull, active white head on tap, good retention and lace, bubbly. i get notes of leafy greens and herbs, like tuscan kale and curly parsley without it being truly vegetal in an unappealing sense, its like thats a character of the hops specifically, but there is mango and juicy tropical character too, and its not that weird, just a little different, maybe imperfectly fresh, which has sometimes happened with their stuff in idaho but its not stale or oxidized to me, just a little bit tame. the grain gives a soft feel but not a ton of flavor, the hops really are the show here, white peach and dried orange peel, maybe a hint of papaya, bitter from the comet and the chinook to me, both kind of run over the usual citra notes, which are subdued. light pine at the end, spicy but not harsh, some oily linger, dried herbs, a little dankness, smooth palate with the frothiness i like in the style, a fine hop combination but maybe the best of each doesnt quite develop enough, good for sure, but not a standout in their incredible range of hoppy beers, at least for me.
