this is as good a hazy ipa as ive had all year, and while some of the matchless hoppy stuff coming in has seemed less than insanely fresh, this one is at peak, and its absurdly good, one of the better expressions of this new darling hop, also with el dorado playing a lovely support role, and there is so much to like about this, especially its relative simplicity and how much actually just comes from the hops, fantastic and modern and memorable right away. pale straw colored beer, some murk but not insanely dense, average white head from the tap, upbeat carbonation, i dig the lower abv than has become standard too, this is a true pint ipa. this is amazingly hoppy but low on bitterness, dripping in aroma and flavor with juicy lemon, navel orange, muddled lemongrass, and crushed pineapple, i get a little melon from the el dorado too, its recognizable here even though the krush dominates. some interesting character behind the fruit too, white currant and white grape, almost ripe strawberry thats still a little white on the top, fruity sativa buds as krush often does, a little grassy but it isnt green. the oats add some nice body but the malt never feels big to me, pillowy and gentle, it just rolls. low bitterness but high hop intensity, up front boldness and it stays the whole drink, wicked hop profile on this overall and the kind of hazy that i think so many aspire to but fall short of, really beautifully hopped, not too long on the linger in the aftertaste, absolutely nailed it!
