This is the second Hatebreed collab beer I've had from Witchdoctor. The plain old lager wasn't anything special, and honestly I expect pretty much the same of this one. But oh well, Hatebreed is a good band, highly suggest seeing them live if you ever get a chance. Let's get into it
Pours a clear orange gold with 3 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose here is nothing special, but it's quite solid for what it is. I'm picking up on aromas of ruby grapefruit, tangerine, pale malt, and light piney hops
While it's passable in aroma, the taste here is just kind of a letdown, not very good unfortunately. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting bready malt, peppery hops, lemon rind, and light orange. The swallow is where it goes downhill, bringing notes of grassy hops, stale bread, and orange rind
A light medium body pairs with gentle prickly carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Sadly, it doesn't live up to the crispness, finishing flabby and stale
This one just didn't really do it for me unfortunately. It's not awful but not worth repeating
