Brash. Bold. Packed full of juicy Australian hops. Bursting onto the palate with ripe melon, apricot and pineapple. Zephyr has a pithy grapefruit finish balanced with a delicate caramel sweetness.
Hops: Rakau, Challenger, Vic Secret, Galaxy.

On cask at Prospect Of Whitby pub in Wapping, London.
L: Almost clear, orange/amber colour with a thin cap that leaves spotty lacing.
S: Pale malt, not much else.
T: Some leafy stewed tea, light citrus and a very dry finish.
F: Medium/light body, some oiliness, flat.
O: Describes itself as an Australian Pale Ale. But it’ isn’t. This is a pretty ordinary EPA with some New World hops that don’t add anything. Plenty dry enough but not sufficiently malty for a bitter, not sufficiently refreshing for a golden ale, not sufficiently citrusy/tropical for an Oz PA, not sufficiently resinous for an APA.

Pours a full tan brown with a small head that leaves some lacing. Nose is light citrus and a touch of wet bready malts. Taste is mildly bitter up front and on the finish with fruity malts in the middle. Mouthfeel is cask, but could have actually used more carb for the style. Overall, okay in every way, but not interesting or memorable.
