Aged in French oak red wine barrels with yeast harvested from a ripening pear, complex yet smooth layers cascade across the palate in this long-form mixed culture sour beer.

500 ml bottle, no dating that I noticed on there. Purchased at the brewery a month or 2 ago. Served in a Teku, the beer pours a somewhat clear dark gold/orange color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like pear, red grapes/wine, oak, vanilla and citrus. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some earthy/funkiness. All the flavors mesh well together with no one flavor overpowering the others, and it's got a good sour kick! Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. If you're into tart brews then give this one a try, I liked it!
