I'm not sure if maybe I got one from a bad batch (best before is Mar. 2020) but this beer tastes like a yeast dough that has been fermenting in the fridge for two to three days which, once baked, will be amasing. They skipped the 'baked' part on this.
The colour is a pleasing honey-shade and the head was quite well formed and not as carbonated as many blond ales I've had.
At first the nose was quite pleasant but upon a deeper whiff I got the 'liquid at the top of sour dough starter' hit. The first sip followed suit and, briefly, had a promising sour note that almost immediately became a 'sour' note. To the bottom of the glass the experience did not improve.

I had it on draft at The Wooden Monkey in Dartmouth, NS. Color is deep gold with very good clarity. The smell is faint and hard to pick up. Maybe there is a bit of a fresh baked bread aroma, but not much to mention here. Taste is agreeable enough, and a bit on the sweet side. If choosing between Hellga and Hellene, I'd pick Hellene every time.
