BB 29-08-06. Bit of white foam that last for a bit and a golden and clear beer. Nose shows bit of hops, lots of cardboard and dry grass with some malts in the back. Taste is quiet watery and hard to find some bitterness in the back. Maybe cause this brew was almost out of date it was litle less as it would be fresh but a dull main stream lager to me.

This beer declares itself a czech-style pils and the website I bought it from (belgianshop) says it is unpasteurized...the brewery website no info on this beer or for that matter on most of their beers. there is no sediment in the bottle. Best before date of 6 months ago but it smells and looks fine - has been in my 50f frig since purchase over a year ago. Odor is hoppy and active, pours 50% head.
Taste is moderately malty with pleasantly bitter hop aftertaste, I would never know this was belgian if I tasted it blind. Subsequent swallows are somewhat more muted - my palate quickly acclimates and there isn't too much going on here. This would be a great beer for a hot day, refreshing and fairly simple.
Judging by style, this is a very pleasant pilsner, though arguably the least interesting of this brewery's offerings.
