Brewed by Van Steenberge for Waterzooi, a Belgian Bistro and Oyster Bar in Garden city, NY... Served on tap into a goblet... Medium-pale golden color with bubbles streaming from the bottom... Wonderful tripel, suggestive of orchard fruits like apple and pear; mild bitterness, mildly sweet, amply carbonated... Smooth and fresh-tasting, highly drinkable with a clean finish... Paired well with their mussels provencal and french fries... I don't know if you need to come to Waterzooi just to try it, but if you come to Waterzooi (which features many Belgian beers on tap and in bottles), you shouldn't pass it up, as it isn't offered anywhere else...
