I had this on draft 2/5/26 @ the Hopleaf.

Mostly opaque brown/orange appearance.

HUGE dark tan head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lacing remained.

Plum, clove & faint orange peel notes in the nose.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Cream, plum, clove & faint booze heat flavors.

Enjoyable.

Ripe for the holiday pickin's, the brewery of Van Steenberge takes their darker stronger ale making prowess to the seasonal trend just in time for the holidays.

Simply named Holiday Ale, the session starts deep amber and light with garnet while shedding a creamy off-white froth. With a fruity and spicy scent swirling around the nose, hints of cider, wine and caramelized sweetness are soon to follow. Malty sweet in balance, the early flavors of brown sugar and coffee cake soon lead to a fruitcake combination of date, fig, raisin and plum balanced with a gentle blend of peppercorn, cinnamon, clove, ginger and cardamom. A mild hop bitterness gives rise to the spiced in a warming finish of cider and wine.

Medium bodied and daringly drinkable, this holiday ale is exactly what's needed to help with extended family plans.
