Crowler into a tulip snifter. Had 1/9/18.
Pours near black and opaque, with a thick two and a half inch foamy head with good retention, and thick foamy lacing. Fairly active carbonation. Smells of roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee, light toffee, a somewhat nutty aroma. The taste also starts with light roast malt and chocolate, then some caramel, light vanilla, a light bitterness. Smooth, a good medium body for the style, well carbonated.
Very good aroma and good flavor. The malt and chocolate dominate, which is kinda how it should be. Enjoyable. Looked great, too.
