Here's the beer I believe I was drinking when I met Danhausen at Thalia Hall. Good times. He took all my monies!
Anyhoo, has the usual pour color scheme for a pilsner, very thin 1/6" like head that had almost no retention. The aroma displayed a good enough position hop wise to be in the czech category, its there and ample enough in terms of Saaz additions. Lacked the yeast push I tend to hope for aroma wise.
The taste was the strong suit. A stronger presence of malt, yeast and hops. Lacked a crispness in the mouthfeel, had a result approaching more of a soggy bread aspect than it did briskness. Like Sum41 said, never what you want it to be. I guess when you're at a venue for an event that isn't beer themed, this is a solid choice and price. It'll do the trick, it won't wow any beer nerds though. But who cares, nobody really likes them anyways with all their "this is problematic" hand wringing.
