16 fl oz. can, canned 12/12/22. Another new drop-off at the local beer spot, so you know I had to snag the 4pk. This one a "Hazy IPA" but boasts a sessionable 5.50% abv.
Poured to a clear stemless wine snifter.
Pours a nice burnt sienna orange body, slightly cloudy, with some chill haze, but not what I would typically associate with 'Hazy IPA' in that sense of an orange juice body. This one doesn't have it. Finger of frothy soapy white head that leaves some good strands of lacing. Looks nice & fresh.
Aromas are fresh, earthy, pithy, citrusy. Notes of oranges, tangerine zest, dirty earthy pine needles / bold resinous hoppiness. Rugged bready maltiness gives the beer a good apparent backbone.
Good depth & duration of hop flavor, especially considering the lowish abv. Flavors of tangerine, zest, pine needles, hope cones. Has some good gummy fruitiness, but the hop finish is bitter & resinous enough to qualify it more of an old-school West coast flavor, not New England style.
Feel is smooth, crisp, & easy-drinking. Body is medium-light with good carbonation. Does have a tad more heft to it than I had imagined; hop bitterness is more piney, resinous, & pronounced than your typical "New England" style, but we won't knock off a lot of points for that. Aside from this mislabeling, (which we often see today since everyone wants hazy bro hazy), this was an excellent low abv IPA, quenching, sessionable, drinkable. On Tour has had some decent releases lately.

Served from tap in a snifter at Consume.
Pours a hazy sunset amber topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises lemongrass, mild biscuit, orange peel, and a touch of what may or may not be coriander. The taste brings in more of the same, the focus being on the grass and rind, but some zestier notes are keen backups. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Not a bad hazy, but not one I'm likely to seek out in the future.
