The sun has set on this Minnesota specialty brew. We’ve all been there when the clock strikes twelve. Just a slight breeze. The vastness of the sky above. Stars as far as you can see. The MIDWEST MIDNIGHT is smooth with a slight sweetness. Berry and nectar poke through from some insanely awesome hops. The cacao nibs from Ghana give a chocolaty finish that fights with a roasty and slightly astringent dryness for the final flavors. It’s getting late—and you are in the Midwest.

From a16oz can with no date on it.
This beer pours pitch black. There's a thick 3 finger brown head that looks frothy with small bubbles. The head retention is good. There's some lacing on the glass.
Aroma is a roasted dark chocolate. Some hints of caramel and toffee also show up.
Taste - has a roasted chocolate character. I am getting more of a milk chocolate vibe here that the aroma wasn't telling me. Hints of caramel and toffee show up, but are very faint. This is a chocolate flavored beer. There's some bitterness on the backside.
Smooth and creamy body. Decent fullness.
Tasty and I would gladly drive to Alex to get it.
