From a can:
The beer is a nice dark copper color pour, and clear. Decent amount of carbonation rising in the glass to form a 3 finger slightly off white head. Head retention is so/so. The end result is a bit of lacing on the glass.
Aroma is full of cereal and a hint of caramel.
Taste - This beer has a good and malty flavor. I get some caramel up front, but, the back is full on malt. This malt has a lot of different layers, and I don't know if I can fully describe all. I do get a lot of cereal in the flavor. The cereal moves over to a wheat bread flavor. The flavor goes slightly earthy after that with a nice biscuit finish. This really doesn't do justice to the flavor profile.
Thick and full bodied. Very smooth feeling.
Quite a delicious beer overall.

At the brewery, into a shaker. On target for the style with the yeast and malt...doesn’t do much with hops or feel.

Poured from crowler into glass. Fill date is marked on can bottom as '9-17-18'.
Clear, medium to deep amber colored body. One finger off white head. Leaves behind a spotty pattern of lacing.
Rich aroma of toasted malts.
Taste is toasted bread and caramel. Has a good sweetness level. Floral hops are there but not very spicy.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Smooth and somewhat refreshing but not real crisp.
Okay rendition of a Marzen fest beer, but lacks a real depth of flavors. Each sip's taste profile is quick and done. Attractive appearance.
