We used an English malt to add some deep caramel undertones, along with pale chocolate malt for sweetness and debittered black malt to add that deep roasty flavor without much astringency. Palisade and Galena hops were utilized to bring in a fruity back note to complement the beer on its finish. All of this is rounded out with a protein chalked dark tan lacey head that clings to the glass all the way to the end. Perfect for these cold winter evenings by the fireplace in the great north.
