19.2 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released. Pours fairly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger foamy white head with very poor retention, that reduces to nothing pretty quickly. No lacing with some clinging bubbles on the glass. Aromas of big tart limes, lemon, orange, citrus peel/zest, mint, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of pepper, lacto/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of limes, mint, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart limes, lemon, orange, citrus peel/zest, mint, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of pepper, lacto/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light wheat tang, herbal bitterness, and Brett spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart limes, lemon, orange, citrus peel/zest, mint, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, pepper, light lacto/musty funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of limes, mint, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering flavors after finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/acidic, and lightly sticky/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is an excellent fruited Berliner weisse! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of limes, mint, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink the the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish, not overly lactic. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome balance of vibrant limes, mint, and Brett/Lacto complexity; with a solid pale/wheat malt backing against acidity. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected of the brewery.
