750 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2018 vintage bottling. Pours slightly hazy golden/orange, light pinkish color with a 1 finger fairly dense off white head with poor retention, that reduces to nothing very quickly. No lacing on the glass; some clinging bubbles and streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, cranberry, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, green apple, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, and grass; with lighter notes of wheat, cracker, peppercorn, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, cherries, oak, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, cranberry, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, green apple, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, and grass; with lighter notes of wheat, cracker, peppercorn, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang; and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, cranberry, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, green apple, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, pepper, light leather/funk/vinegar, and yeast oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, cherries, oak, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a nice malt/tart/sourness, and tangy fruit balance. Mildly increasing pucker, but not overwhelming. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a smooth, moderately grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.1%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited sour/wild ale! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, cherries, oak, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; smooth and fairly crisp to drink with the moderately acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. Awesomely juicy/jammy cherries and balanced Brett/Bacteria complexity; nice oak presence and solid pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example as expected. This was more acidic/drying than most others in the series.

Pours pinkish gold. Bubbly, short white head Fades fast.
Smells Cherry, citrus, lemon, green apple and plenty of Funk.
Taste tart and sweet cherry, light Funk, vinegar, spicy yeast, Oaky and really dry. Finishes dry with fruit and Funk linger. Medium body and fizzy medium carbonation.
