This is a wonderful little brewery in the former Lemp Stables, across from the historic brewery complex. The architecture is incredible, accentuated by the amazing chandelier. They have a wide selection of beer styles. I especially liked the cream ale and the west coast IPA. The taproom is spacious, with comfortable seating. They also have a large patio. Friendly service and excellent beer.

Great vibe with serious 70s classic rock on the speakers, friendly service at the bar and a nieces age crowd. The smoked chicken wings from B. McArthurs are really great…be ready for a sweaty face.

The vibe of this place alone is worth the trip, dark wood, spacious, old world. Have a nice German inspired beer by the fireplace with a good book in the cold months! Shaded patio is rocking in the warm ones. Old school beers well made, appreciated very much these days. Service is polite, efficient and content to let you do your thing. Strange how much is in bottle but enough taps to work. Nestled in the shadow of AB, this quaint local brewery is part of the subtle yet strong resistance of the craft scene in STL

Bluewood Brewing is set in an warehouse structure in a cool section of St. Louis which gave it a old school feel. The space was very big with a small bar in the back.....but large amounts of table and couch seating. The quality of the beer was very good....way above average. The service was very kind and attentive. There was plenty to select from and they had 14 of there own beers and one mead on tap. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Dark interior space with a smallish bar in the back. The space is next to a burger joint that makes it a little confusing as to what seating belongs to which. They have a wide variety of styles - English Mild, Quad, Black IPA and many others. The beers were all quite good. The food next door (Mac's) was really good.

Visited for the first time on a midweek afternoon. Pretty quiet at the time. The building itself is cool. The vibe is ok. Bar without stools is in the back past the seating and the food counter. Beer selection is about 50% proprietary and 50% guest taps. Service was fine but not exceptional. Beer is ok but not great. Seems the draw this afternoon was equally the food and beer. Knowing the rep of the burger joint located in house that's not surprising.

its crazy to think that new breweries are still coming online in this highly saturated market, but every time i visit, there seem to be at least a couple of more who have recently opened their doors. this space is fantastic, not sure what it used to be, but its got uniquely high ceilings, a very rustic feel to it, but also some industrial elements, so many cool old big brick commercial buildings in this city have been repurposed in thoughtful ways, and this is another one, large but immediately comfortable, plenty of street parking, a tiny little brewery there next to the bar, victorian era vibe as well with some of the lighting and seating, and room for quite a lot of people, loud in here though, they could stand to rig up some acoustic treatments, a little hard to chat in here with all the echo, but a cool space for sure. i was a little thrown off by the long line when you walk in the front door, but apparently a popular local burger joint has moved in here as well, and this 40 person plus line was for food, for beers you could just walk right up to the eclectic bar in the back. they had a nice list of beers on tap here, but only two or three of their own. after reading about some of their beers north of 20% abv, i was disappointed to see nothing quite that ambitious on. i enjoyed a pumpkin strong ale quite a lot, and a somewhat generic hefe a little less, but its obvious these guys are capable of some really neat stuff, i hope to get to dip into a bit more of it next time. i think the food is a separate business, but its also well integrated. kind of kills the potentially chill vibe of the brewery, and it smells like fries everywhere, but its cool they have this built in audience. service was average, and i wish they had more of their own beer on, but this place seems poised for big things, looking forward to seeing where they go from here. very cool spot.
